You can delete your Hey Hudhud account and all associated personal data at any time. There are two ways to do it — directly in the app, or by emailing us.
Option 1 — Delete in the app
The fastest way is from within Hey Hudhud:
- Open your Profile Tap the Profile tab in the bottom navigation.
- Go to Account Tap the settings gear, then choose Account.
- Tap "Delete account" You'll find it at the bottom of the Account screen.
- Confirm Read the summary of what will be removed and confirm. Your account and data are then permanently deleted.
Option 2 — Request by email
If you can't access the app, email us from the address associated with your account and we'll handle it for you.
Please use the subject line "Account deletion request". We may ask you to confirm ownership of the account before we proceed, to protect your data.
What gets deleted
Your account profile (name, email), learning progress, memorization status, streaks and XP, achievements, bookmarks, notes, and preferences.
Because the Quran text is public content and not personal data, it is unaffected. Anonymous, aggregated analytics that cannot identify you may be retained.
Timing
- Immediately: your account is deactivated and you're signed out on all devices.
- Active systems: personal data is removed right away.
- Backups: residual copies in encrypted backups are purged within 30 days.
Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. If you'd like to use Hey Hudhud again later, you're always welcome to create a new account.
